About Yibo Wei
I’m a 2nd year PhD student in Computer Science at the University of California San Diego, advised by Aaron Schulman.
My current research focuses on uncovering security vulnerabilities in Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) devices used in critical infrastructure. Through scanning and analysis techniques, I aim to identify potential risks associated with easily accessible BLE-enabled applications and devices.
Beyond my core research, I’m passionate about building robust research infrastructures. This includes developing custom Android apps for BLE scanning and designing efficient backend databases and analysis libraries.
I also enjoy building practical wheels (mostly in Python) that streamline various aspects of computer science work.
